Ottawa Police have recovered the body of a missing 30-year-old woman from the Ottawa River, police said Monday.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was last seen on Sunday afternoon in the area of Britannia Beach.
Police were called to the scene at around 4:30 p.m. after a witness reported seeing someone struggling in the water.
The Ottawa Police Marine Unit, along with members of the Ottawa Fire Service, searched the river for several hours before finding the woman's body just before 8 p.m.
Police said the woman's death is not considered suspicious, but an investigation is ongoing.
